JZ – Life Well Lived

JZ – Life Well Lived is a site celebrating the life of Jim Zeiset. This site will be a place to post your memories, view other’s and RSVP to upcoming events. We will continue adding to the site so please check back often.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all who commented, posted photos, sent well wishes and condolences. This is a true testament to what an amazing and generous man Jim was. Jim has left me a lifetime of fond memories that I can smile upon, sometimes laugh out loud over, and never forget. I am blessed.

I have chosen to share the circumstances surrounding his death. Jim did not die from COVid 19 nor from prostate cancer.

The day before, 24 October, he was completing winterizing tasks around the grounds. He installed the snow plow blade on the Rhino preparing for the coming snowfall. He walked the treadmill for 24 minutes stating he’ll do 25 minutes tomorrow. (Said I should do that as well, funny) He cleaned and organized his workbench to make it ready for the following day and his next projects. We shared a light meal and watched the news. Then, he went to his office to attend an online class in investing. After class he watched TV briefly then came to bed, kissed me goodnight and told me he loved me. Jim was content and happy looking forward to the next day to do it all again.

Jim did not wake the next morning. He did not struggle or suffer. He died peacefully in his sleep of a cardiac event. Even in death he was generous.

As in the other posting…In lieu of flowers, just help someone out less fortunate than you. Buy them a coffee, give them a ride, take them fishing, mentor them, encourage them, believe in them. Continue his legacy.

We intend to celebrate his life at his ranch sometime in Spring/Summer 2021. Perhaps, for just a moment we can nearly fill the space he occupied for it is so very empty now. Then we can embrace and kiss and dance and whoop it up in a large gathering and in a huge way. I’ll place a post here and on his account when the event is decided.
